Viváz is centered upon a nimble nylon-string guitar, a Cuban tres guitar and accomplished vocals, all led by founder and leader Javier Gutierrez. The group is seasoned with multiple percussionists, piano, upright bass, and a powerhouse brass section which lends itself to their unique and harmonious sound. Viváz delivers through their interpretations, tremendous quality musical performances throughout many venues in New Orleans and other U.S. cities. The group is also recognized without a doubt as one of the best bands for its genre by various press agencies and television stations.

Patrice Fisher, has been performing and recording her own compositions for the past 22 years. She is a graduate of Tulane University, as well as the Wolf Trap Academy for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and the Creative Music Studio Jazz School in New York. She has recorded 9 albums of original music, including her latest CD, "Crema De Papaya." She has traveled throughout the world, performing at festivals, like the Cancun Jazz Festival, the FestiJazz in La Paz, Bolivia, the Encuentro Jazz Festival in Guatemala and a concert with the Orquesta Sinfonica de Sergipe in Aracaju, Brazil. "

Harpist Helen Maxwell has performed with national artists including Paul Williams and Michel Le Grand, and entertained President George Bush and Britain’s Princess Margaret. She has played in many Broadway shows, appeared at numerous Mardi Gras balls and debutante parties, but she considers weddings to be her specialty.

The New Orleans Spice is a group that has been together since 1994. The band performs internationally and has performed for hundreds of conventions, private functions and many club dates in New Orleans . Members of the band include a few who are descendants of the early jazz pioneers, a former ten year member of the Olympia Brass Band and in general the best first-call musicians in New Orleans.

Drawing inspiration from the great bands, performers and composers of the 1920s and 1930s- often called the "JazzAge," and "Swing Era," The Jimmy Maxwell Orchestra affectionately and authentically recapture the excitement and fascination of that musical heyday. Guided by their affinity for the superb music of innovators such as Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington as well as songwriters like Fats Waller, George Gershwin, Hoagy Carmichael, and Walter Donaldson, the orchestra has captivated audiences all across the country.
